Washington, Tyne & Wear, U.K. (2nd April 2019) Snorkel UK is strengthening its team with two new customer-facing additions.
Jon Plaskitt joined Snorkel UK in early March, as Area Sales Manager. Based in Lincolnshire, Jon will be responsible for managing and developing Snorkel UK’s customer base in the Eastern region of UK.
Jon brings more than 15 years of sales management experience to Snorkel UK, having built up a respected client list in both the aerial work platform and agricultural sectors. Beginning his career in the construction sector at JLG Industries, Jon started as a telehandler demonstrator in 2002, before progressing to National Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland. In 2008, Jon moved into the equipment rental sector for two years at Greenwoods Hire Ltd., before stepping into agricultural sales at Lincolnshire Motors Ltd. in 2010, where he most recently held the position of Group Sales Manager, prior to joining Snorkel UK.
Expanding the Snorkel UK after sales team, Neil Brown has been appointed as Service Team Manager, with responsibility for leading the Snorkel UK field service operations. Neil will commence his new role on May 1st 2019.
Neil joined Snorkel in 2003, and spent 13 years working within the Snorkel global product support team, before taking on the role of Production Manager – Test/PDI at Snorkel’s manufacturing facility in Washington, Tyne & Wear for the past 3 years.
In his new position, Neil will be responsible for overseeing, managing and maintaining control of all aspects of Snorkel UK’s field service and support operations. He will have direct responsibility for the management of the Snorkel UK field service engineer team, including operational planning, control and profitability. Trevor Williamson will be predominantly field-based, as Senior Field Service Engineer, with responsibility for delivering customer training, machine handovers, and demonstrations as well as technical service, to ensure the highest levels of customer support.
